Hi there everyone!

I had just found this forum from Reddit, and was wondering if it is still an active place to RP in the WoD universe?

If so, I would love to join, if applications are still being accepted! I've been a long time World of Darkness player, specifically in the Old World. I used to be a very active member of a few real world larps that were based in the old world, using multiple systems, that ended up lasting a few years before the story line finally ended. After that, we moved over to tabletop, and unfortunately the new world, mainly due to book accessibility.

I've run a few WoD games myself; mainly oWoD Werewolf and Vampire, and nWoD Changeling and Hunter. It's been a great experience, running the games, but I'd love to get back into the swing of being a player again~

So, when I saw that post on Reddit, I got super excited!

Hopefully, you guys are still around? I see some of you posting down there!

Hey! Welcome to the forum =)

I can see you got a chance to chat a bit in the minichat with a couple of the regulars lol, but I'll answer everything just in case.

We have ongoing stories where anyone can jump in at anytime so you are more than welcome to join in any and/or all that we have. I think the guys may have mentioned but we currently have active Vampire the Masquerade Camarilla and Sabbat threads going, and in addition to that, we have a Werewolf the Apocalypse one that is on hold, and I am considering maybe starting up a Dark Ages Werewolf one soon.

I understand the Storyteller/Player thing all too well myself lol. Somehow with the original group that started here, despite having the least experience I somehow got voted Storyteller (maybe due to the fact that I was the one who got it started).. I've ended up just working my own characters in to the stories so I get a chance to play as well lol. Probably easier to do that in the online forum RP format than actual tabletop though I'd imagine.

As I said, you are more than welcome to join us!

I have to ask though.. there is a post on Reddit? That's news to me! lol I kind of would like to see it.

If you would like to join us, if you look at the top of the page on the forum, you should see 'Char Sheets' and on that page, under the 'Bios' button, you can choose to Create a character sheet. Only you and I will be able to view any sheets you make.

The only other thing I'll say is that we are pretty lax on the rules, we expect everyone to try to play fairly of course lol so if you ever aren't sure whether to make a roll or whatnot just ask. Most of the rolling we do is for combat or anything that has consequences and leave the rest to just plain roleplay. I like to leave the players a lot of freedom and we tend to concentrate a bit less on the systems and more on the creative writing.

Now before I write too much.... lol I hope you like what we are doing here and will enjoy staying and writing with us. Welcome again

Hello hello. I can not tell you how incredibly good it is to see another Old World of Darkness player join our ranks, though lets not talk about Requiem and the Mistake it was. It is better for all parties I believe to focus an the amazing game play, story, and mythos of the Old World of Darkness. So I suppose in short I am trying to say welcome to the site. ^_^.

ALso its good to know that you were an OWoD Larper. I thought that I was the only one. Yay I am not alone anymore. Table top takes some getting used to when you have been doing Vampire LArp for 13 years, lol. Any how I can not wait to get a chance to role play with you and thus far I am exclusively Camarilla.

@Keira: That's awesome that there are a few ongoing stories right now~ I think I'm probably most familiar with VtM and WtA, but to hear that there is someone else that has an excitement about Dark Age Werewolf is a nice change of pace :3 I love the setting that they brought about with that expansion, and wished it got more coverage. (Dark Age Changeling is still one of the most playable expansions to date, I think!)

Yeah, after running so many games, I just WANT to get bogged down in RP. It's so nice, the play by post setting; how it allows the players to just kind of relax and think about what they want to post. There is no stress about anything, and you really can go at your own pace. It's perfect for the ailing GM! XD

I'll get to making up a character today I like the focus on role play rather then roll play. It definitely makes posting a lot more easier and flowey~

@Hamilton: Indeed! I feel the same about finding new oWoD players out and about as well! I thought we all went into our collective shells and were destined to complain about how the new world was squatting on our lawn for the rest of our lives! XD (I saw you sent me a PM, I'll be able to reply to that once I get a few more posts under my belt!)
