"I can feel you......You're scared. Don't be scared, I won't hurt you......much." She felt the fangs dig into her neck, and her body went limp as she fainted. Her last thought was how it was a Friday, and nobody would figure out she was missing until Monday when she wasn't due for work again.....
She awoke on her bed, wearing the same clothes that she had on that night. She looked over at the clock that currently read 22:30-SAT, and realized that she had been sleeping for almost a full day. Her hand immediately went to her neck, and felt the lack of holes. She didn't feel hungry, and in fact, she didn't feel anything.
A cell phone went off somewhere in the other room. This was especially strange, because all she owned was an on-call beeper for work. She found the phone, and answered the call. The man from last night was on the other end. He explained what happened, what she needed to do next, and where to meet him. She was so scared, terrified. Her hands shook, and her mind was racing. She had so many questions, and she didn't know what to ask. How had she got home? Who was this guy? Why her? Where the hell was she? IS this her apartment? Why did he do that to her? Where the HELL is she?! Why is it Saturday night?! Where is her apartment?! WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!.
The phone clicked off. The call had ended, and she hadn't even heard a word that Spencer had said to her. Worried, she had to meet him, or else she would never have another moment of peace. She tried to clear her head and have a bite to eat. She didn't feel like having it, but it had been so long, she was surprised she wasn't more hungry. She grabbed a banana, and began to scarf it down quickly. One bite. Two bites. Three Bites. All for naught. As quickly as she had scarfed it down, was the banana all over the floor along with a puddle of a clear bile. She grabbed another, and tried again, and just as quickly as the first time was the banana coming up her esophogus.
After about 15 minutes, and 5 or 6 bananas later, she realized that no matter what she did, she couldn't keep the food down, and when she tried water, it almost felt like she was drowning herself the way it was coming back up. That's when the second realization hit her; she wasn't breathing. How was she alive?!
She met with Spencer on the subway. She remembered this setting; it's where it happened. The embrace. She looked around nervously as he came on the train, and in almost the same exact place, the train stopped, and the lights began to flicker quickly. He explained what she had become; a vampire in his own shadow, and the rules for living as such. He explained the Masquerade, and what she had to do to maintain it. She was shocked at first, but realizing she was living out the fantasy she had been reading about in her books, quickly became used to the idea of it.
The two met multiple times over the span of several weeks. Spencer teaching Aynn the in and outs of being part of the Masquerade, and what came next. She had been working the night shift, and requested to have reduced hours now that things such as money, food, water and heat were no longer a necessity. Spencer taught her how to feed, and over time, she would farm on the healthier people at work that she knew were free of disease or plague. He trained her in the disciplines of her clan, the Ravnos, and how to protect herself. This all happened on that same subway car the initial embrace occurred on.
He had always been surprised; how easy it was for her to keep up the mask: how she always seemed like nothing ever happened, and how social events were always simple to dive into for her. She had always been considered a social butterfly, but since the change, that seemed to just make her more of a social magnet, which wasn't a bad thing.
After 4 years of guidance, Spencer was finally ready to let his apprentice go. They shared a hug and long kiss, and it was at this time that he had shared his secret to her. He told her never to utter it, never to mention what he had said to her that night. But as he released her shocked and expressionless body, he faded into the night.
She never saw him again, and just as he had left her life so quickly, so had she never became normal once more.

| Appearance : |
Aynn stands approx. 5'9, with long, straight black hair. It falls to the small of her back, and has the apearance of someone who likes to take care of it. The shine is often never because of a lack of washing, but more because of health. Her face is almond shaped, and has a slight tinge of red on her cheeks; almost as if she has a permanent sunburn that just won't go away. Her eyes are of the deepest green, and her eyelashes are just long enough to make them look larger then normal. Her frame is that of someone who is leading a healthy life; lithe and taut, but not overweight. An ideal specimen. Her hips are a bit wider then norm, leading down to a shorter set of legs.
Clothing : Aynn normally dresses in a pair of nurses scrubs, and a sweatshirt over a simple tshirt. When she is off duty, she completely changes; often donning more formal dresses that fall to the middle of her shins, with leggings, or tighter pants. It's not too often that she can be found in her work uniform off-hours. |

| Additional Info : |
Aynn had lived the life of a normal American girl being raised in a family of medically inclined physicians. Her mother had been a relatively successful psychiatrist out of Portland, Oregon, and her father was a pediatrician that had moved the family up to Seattle, Washington to practice. After being pushed to go to school for something similar, Aynn knew that she had to follow in their footsteps, or find a place to live earlier than she had expected.
It took her shorter then the normal amount of time, and after graduating college a year early with a bachelor's in Nursing/Family Medicine from Washington State University, she found a program accepting new nurses at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto. After saying her goodbyes, she moved away up to Canada, and began her new citizenship process.
After a few years, she finally became a citizen of Canada, and owned her own apartment just a short subway ride away from the hospital. It was the ideal situation for the new college grad, and she couldn't have asked for anything else! Well, until that one fateful night.
She had been taking the subway home for the past few weeks, as that's that had shown to be the most effective form of transportation. Just recently she was asked to take a position working the 2nd shift, so she wouldn't get home until almost midnight, on some days. The subway was almost never populated; a sparse group of people dotted the various stops, no more then 2 or 3 other people sat with her on the cars on any given night. She never paid too much attention to the people around her; instead opting to pay attention to the book or magazine she had purchased that day at the hospital store. Aynn was still getting used to the local rides, so that attention was oft broken by the call of the multilingual announcement calling her subway stop.
It was a humid night, that June evening, when the man had entered the subway car, two stops from home. She didn't think anything of it, and kept on reading. That was, until he had taken a seat next to her. Of all places.....next to me? Doesn't he have a sense of personal spa-. Her thoughts were cut off when he spoke to her. "The name is Spencer. Spencer Nitall. You're not from around these parts, huh? I've seen you, you know. At the hospital. On these trains." That scared her, quite a bit, at that. He was stalking her, and just admitted to it. But this isn't what shocked Aynn, what shocked her, was that the subway car had stopped while he was talking, and the lights were flickering as the generator that was charged by the train's constant movement began to fail. Her attention was brought to the lights, and when she looked back at the man, he was gone.
"I can feel you......You're scared. Don't be scared, I won't hurt you......much." She felt the fangs dig into her neck, and her body went limp as she fainted. Her last thought was how it was a Friday, and nobody would figure out she was missing until Monday when she wasn't due for work again.....
