Elysium

It was quite a while and she finally got a minute or two free. She stretched and yawned almost like a cat. The night was going quite well in the club actually. The customers were quite active and she suspected that it was like that most of the time. She thought that this was how the Elysiums that were undercover as human public places were. The kindred had money and some of the quite a lot of it…

Some time later the owner showed up. Judging from the way she talked with Anna, something interesting must have happened. Still the Gangrel just played along as a human that didn’t hear a thing. After Kiera finished talking with Anna, she seemed to have noticed the Gangrel and greeted her with a nod. Jane nodded in return.” Nice to meet you miss Kelly.” Jane began.” My name is Jane Sheppard. I was hired yesterday, but I hope we will get along.”

Keira inclined her head. This one seemed quite confident. Most new employees balked at talking to the owner for the first time. She smiled in reply though and held out a hand to shake the other's. "Pleased to meet you as well, Miss Sheppard." she answered formally. "I do hope you enjoy working here. We try to keep a friendly atmosphere here with the staff. If you at any time have any concerns or suggestions, don't hesitate to bring them to my attention. Welcome again." she added.

Jane took Keira’s hand and smiled.” I glad to hear that. Now if you excuse me, I have to return to the customers.” She replied and went to her place, where a small line was already forming. She quickly started to take the orders. Keira seemed like a nice person at the very and the club was pretty good. Still she would have to eventually go and have a talk with her for the new prince, but for now Jane decided to leave it for later date.

Keira gave the woman a nod and then resumed talking to Anna. She lowered her voice as she spoke. "As far as I know, the Prince is safe now." she said to the bartender. Within moments, Mirella followed by Cyrus came out of the back of the club. Keira was pleased to see her grand-sire moving without pain though her clothing was somewhat torn up. Keira moved over to them, telling Marie to take Mirella upstairs and find her some better attire. As they returned to the back where the staircase to the upper floor was, Keira pulled Cy with her over to her customary table. She needed a break and relax after the events of this evening.

She sighed as she sat down, leaning against her love's shoulder. She wondered briefly at how much of Ambrogio's work would be ruined this night. It would be a tragedy but at least they had all survived the attack and that much at least was to be grateful for.

The night was going pretty darn well. There weren’t any more disturbances since the idiotic humans earlier. The music was going without stop and the crowds were dancing without rest. This was the perfect moment to relax. Still a slim figure was approaching the bar and as Jane was distracted, she approached without signs. “ A glass of vodka…” The woman said with a voice that Jane though was familiar. The Gangrel looked at the woman in front of her. Now this was trouble…” Vendeta…” Jane muttered while giving the drink to the “customer”. “It’s been quite a while heh? 12 years to be precise, since that job in London. Where you stole my kill… Imagine my surprise when you disappeared.” This one was trouble and Jane knew it. This Ravnos was a little too competitive and had killed a lot of rivals for the sport of competition.” Leave me alone Vendeta. This is an Elysium. Beside you get all the better jobs now so what’s the problem?” The Ravnos didn’t seem very interested in that.” They don’t put almost any resistance… You know what? I just arrived in town, so I have to present myself to the prince, but he wasn’t anywhere to be found. I guess, I will just present myself to the owner here.” She replied with a sly smile. Jane looked at her with a fierce glare.” Watch your tongue, or I will cut it off…” Jane whispered.

It wasn't too long before Mirella and Marie rejoined Keira and Cy at the table. Marie sat down but the elder Toreador remained standing. She smiled to Keira. "Thank you, dear one, for everything. I will repay you for the clothing but for now, I must be off and find the Prince. It is my duty to protect him now as Sheriff." Mirella said with a smile.

Keira smiled back at the woman. "Think nothing of it. No repayment is necessary. We are family, after all, are we not?"

Mirella nodded her head in agreement but gave a wave of her hand. "I always repay my debts. Good evening to you all." she said before she was gone.

Marie turned to the others. "So... that was quite the art show, huh?"

Keira frowned slightly. "Quite... Not the kind of art show I'd care to repeat... I do hope that the rest of the mess was cleaned up after our departure." she added.

"What the hell was that all about anyways?" the childe asked.

Keira merely shook her head. "Could be a number of matters. I told you before, this is a dangerous world we live in now.. perhaps more so than... before." she said, cryptically enough that any overhearing Kine ears would not understand. "It is a matter for the Prince and Sheriff to discover." she concluded.

„No need to be so angry.“ The woman replied with an egocentric smile, that Jane wanted to destroy with a beer bottle in the face, but she suppressed the urge. Still Jane did notice that Ravnos was carrying a gun and it wasn‘t very well hid too. Now how the hell the she bring it in, with all the guards at the front? Then again she was a assassin so she could have hid it when she entered and took it out when she was in... She did head towards Keira though. Jane decided not to trust her too much and approached Anna.“ I‘m not sure what to do...“ the Gangrel began with an uncertain voice.“ That woman was carrying a gun...“

Anna frowned at what she was told and gave a glance over to the club owner who sat at her booth. This was more difficult due to the fact that the witness was Kine. Something would have to be seen being done about it. If the employee had been Kindred, the matter could have been dealt with but now they would have to at least be in contact with the Kine police. She would even have to find what out if this gun-carrier was.

Finally she nodded to Jane. "We'll have to contact the police. No doubt they will want a description of this woman. Do you think you will be able to describe what she looked like?" she asked.

Jane made an very concentrated face.“ Well about 5‘40“ feet tall, pale skin, black hair about the lenght of the shoulders and a tatto on the face.“ The Gangrel stopped and „tried“ to remember more.“ She had a black tattoo on the face. Almost like a cross of some kind, with the bottom part a little longer than the rest.“ Jane gave full description of the annoying Ravnos.“ She also said that she was searching for the owner of the club. I said that I wasn‘t sure where she was... Did I do the right thing?!“ The gangrel asked Anna.

Anna stood with arms crossed, a concerned look on her face as she listened to her employee. She nodded. "Yes, you've done the right thing. You'll be asked to give this description to the police. I'll pass it along to security in the meantime to watch out for this women. Wait here a moment..." she told Jane before moving off towards Keira's table.

Keira looked up at Anna in surprise; it was very rare for the bartender / business partner to come unbeckoned to the table. "Ms. Kelly, there's been a bit of trouble... A woman was seen with a gun in the club. Apparently she was looking for you. Our newest employee got a good look at her."

Keira gave a glance to Marie who was sitting nearby. Her old friend had probably been the last person seeking her out. She got up, asking the others to stay in their seats and followed Anna over to where Jane was. Keira nodded to her. "We met briefly the other night. Can you tell me anything else about this woman? Did she have a reason for wanting to see me?" she asked Jane.
