Kate is 21. It's been 5 years since her first change.
What was your family life like?
Kate didn't know what happened to her parents and grew up going through foster homes. She always felt that she didn't belong but she assumed that was because of never staying with any family for more than a couple years at a time. She was told her mother left her in the foster system when she was very young and left no name.
When did you have your First Change?
She had her first change when she was 16.
Kate and a boy she liked snuck out to an old decrepit building that was starting to be renovated one night. While there, the boy started making advances on her which she didn't reject as she had expected them but she heard a noise coming from the next room. She quickly ran over there, finding the boy's friends who had been trying to watch through holes in the wall. They all started to laugh at her, calling her a slut and worse. Red took over her vision and she recalled nothing more until she awoke. There was blood on her but not hers. There was someone around her as well, an adult. It was a homid garou woman who explained to her what had just happened.
Kate had killed one boy but had been stopped before she could hurt the others and the rest of the boys were convinced a rabid dog had gotten into the building and mauled the unfortunate one. Kate was terrified and remorseful of what she had done but it was explained also that it wasn't her fault and that all Garou went through the same thing. The woman was regretful she hadn't gotten there in time to stop the attack completely but it had not been truly anyone's fault.

Where do you live now?
Dorms in Essen, Germany. Kate ended up going abroad for school at Essen's well known art university.
Do you continue to live a normal life?
She interacts with humans to an extent. She lives with humans so she has to but she feels an outsider among them. She doesn't know any humans here from before because she came to Germany partially to get a fresh start.
What motivates you?
Her actions during her first change always stay somewhat in her mind and she seeks to help people when she can, trying to make up for that though getting a little recognition doesn't hurt either. She hides her regrets though with sweeping tales of glory and valiance.
