Post The Outcasts : Bad Blood
Normally Corinne wouldn't have been caught dead in this area of town.. Normally she'd have been in a high class bar or club looking for a meal but that wouldn't go over too well right now. It just had been bad dumb luck really... She and Christine had left their small yet trendy apartment to grab a bite. The bad luck had started when they had come across what seemed to be congregation of a local gang.. and had only gotten worse when some of them decided that Corinne would be a weak and easy target. Against the number that there was, that was likely true. The scene had quickly erupted into chaos when her Lasombra companion had lighted into the aggressive men. Corinne had taken the opportunity to do what she did best when things got bad: run. She was confident in her companion's abilities to get out of the scuffle but Corinne was no fighter.

From there, the luck only got worse. She quickly lost her pursuers but in her flight, flailed to check the way was clear as she crossed a road. Neither she nor the taxi cab had any chance to see the other before it collided with her. She had quickly recovered before the driver could rush to her aid and she took off once more into the night. The most grievous of the injuries she'd received she healed but the use of that much of her vitae left her near to starving. She couldn't heal everything at present. She would need to feed soon though the state she was in would make that difficult. No classy place would let her in looking like this... That meant.. slumming it, however distasteful the thought was.

As she walked the empty suburban streets with the small, Edwardian-era houses, she searched vainly for any Kine... anywhere. Perhaps with the exception of the homeless... she wasn't quite that desperate yet. No, definitely not yet. There had to be some satisfactory median out here somewhere... A door slammed somewhere up ahead and then a figure emerged onto the sidewalk a distance ahead of her. Hooded it seemed under the orange glow of the streetlights. A thug perhaps? Well, that was still better than one who slept on the streets and ate out of dumpsters, was it not? She quickened her pace to catch up to what she could only assume was a man. She could quickly have him eating out of the palm of her hand so that she could get him into the proper position to feed... It had always been so easy for her... She wanted to feed so much...

As she drew up on him, she put a hand to his shoulder. His quick reaction to the touch surprised her but she was an actress.. she knew how to stay in character no matter what. "Bon soir, monsieur." she said. Good evening, sir. She had often found her native Parisian French, the smooth accent, was amazingly helpful in getting people to open up to her. As he turned, she could see his eyes were covered by sunglasses despite the darkness. His skin though held a fairly healthy complexion it seemed. With a mental shrug, she continued. "Monsieur, perhaps you can be of assistance to me?" she asked. "Please, if you would just remove your.. lunettes... um, your sunglasses that is..." she began. Her powers weren't reliant on his eyes quite in the same way as that of some other Kindred but she preferred it if possible.. She felt that she could hold the interest of her targets more with the ability to both see each others eyes.

Post Re: The Outcasts : Bad Blood
After having another conversation with his sister about him always sleeping during the day and leaving at night. Ever since the incident Jess has been trying to push Jericho into getting help. He decided he has heard enough and walked out of the house saying "I'm going out don't wait up for me ill be gone all night." He would occasionally leave when ever he felt his anger building but this time it was different. He had gotten a lead of where an old friend might be hiding so he decided to pay him a well deserved visit. As he was walking thinking about his sisters words and what she would do if she found out why he left he felt a hand touch his shoulder. He turned quickly to see if it was his sister but it turned out to be someone he has never met before. As she asked him for assistance he thought 'I have no time for this' so he takes off his sunglasses revealing his bright blue wolf eyes to scare her away.

Post Re: The Outcasts : Bad Blood
Corinne jerked her hand back as the man acquiesced and revealed his eyes to her. It wasn't at all what she had expected to see. The eyes weren't... human, weren't Kine. They seemed the eyes of an animal. Her first thought was Lupine. She braced to run but there was no real anger directed to her, no pure hatred as the werewolves seemed to feel towards Kindred for whatever reason. No.. either such emotions, especially not the longer they stood there, as she studied him. He seemed only to become more... confused. It made her more confident. She had been around long enough to know much about their world.

She frowned. "You're Kindred?" she asked in a hushed but sharply questioning tone. "Are you Kindred?! Mais ton complexion.. You're skin.. You appear like one of them... a Kine.." That was something.. far more rare. Something she hadn't really noticed of other Kindred with maybe two exceptions in all her years. She was dying to ask how to replicate it for herself, if it was possible. Her pallor was alluring often enough but it was also at times conspicuous. "You are Kindred, yes? Ton yeux.. You're eyes, they speak of this..." she questioned. "Gangrel?" she asked. She couldn't imagine what else he could be as she was still standing here, not torn to shreds. "You are no lupine.." she said half to herself. "Bêtes... All beasts... But you.. you must be Kindred too... yes?" she prodded again.

She could see now, out of the corner of her eye, movement on a roof of one of the houses. She could recognize even from here the shape and movement of Christine. Back-up in case this Kindred man before her became trouble. She didn't expect it, not from his expression currently but it was better to be sure. She waited for an answer.

Post Re: The Outcasts : Bad Blood
Christine mood wasn’t really that great tonight. When the gang of humans decided to mess with her new friend, the lasombra wasn’t really going to let them exactly get away free with that. She had charged into their little group like a storm, almost immediately breaking the leg of one of the humans, before gripping the other by the throat, throwing him at one of his mates. Those humans really had a bad luck meeting the lasombra. The 2 meters tall woman’s strength was really not something normal and by the time those fellas realized that it was already too late. All of them were to be hospitalized to a degree with broken arms or legs… or ribs. Still Christine knew well enough to not kill anyone, so she contented herself with simply breaking a bone or two. She’d love to snack on those guys, but decided not to. She was pretty sure police might show up any moment now, so she just left them there, speeding after in the direction Corinne had taken off.

“Seriously… that girl is nothing but troubles.” She sighed as she ran. Since they met, it was like the toreador attracted troubles on daily basis. It was both hilarious and annoying at the same time. Even how they met was a trouble… Christine had to save her from being killed by some sabbat thugs. Her new friend was surprisingly frail for a vampire.

Eventually she managed to hear the voice of her companion from afar. Christine’s hearing was quite good so it made finding things and people easier. She sped up to quickly find Corinne least the latter gets into trouble again.

Without losing any momentum, Christine nimbly climbed on top of the nearby houses for better view and faster movement as she quickly then finally located her friend. She was talking to a man and he didn’t seem exactly normal, judging from what she overheard Corinne saying. ‘ A gangrel?’ Christine thought, her eyes locked on him. If she needed, she could easily jump on him from here. For now she chose to remain silent and just be ready to take him out.

After seeing her reaction he felt confused 'why wasn't this women running and screaming and what is she talking about?' he thought. He quickly put his sunglasses back on and said "What are you talking about." in a concerned voice.
Jericho wasn't use to anyone not running and screaming when he shows his wolf eyes. He usually used them to scare people that got in his way of were just annoying but the fact that it didn't work this time made him feel uneasy.
'Who was this women why didn't she scream and why does she seem to know more about my eyes than I do?' he thought. Jericho was waiting for any excuse to bring out his claws and end this conversation. Looking to change the conversation he sighs as he says half annoyed "He is probably gone by now at least I get to help someone so what do you need my assistance with?"

Post Re: The Outcasts : Bad Blood
Corinne's brow furrowed as she became a bit confused by this man's reaction, his seeming utter incomprehension to her questioning. Her mind quickly ran over all the facts, wondering if perhaps she had made a dire error of speaking the wrong things to a mere Kine.. but no, no Kine's eyes were like this. Impossible. No, the worse it could be was that this was some errant lupine and that was not a breach of the Masquerade.... she hoped. She opened her lips just a touch, just enough to let the man see the hint of her fangs and not be obvious to anyone else from any sort of distance. She wanted to see this man's reaction to another Kindred.

Her focus suddenly waned, the interest in this new thing being overwhelmed by the pain. Though she had healed much, her remaining injuries still were not merely superficial. She winced as her left arm twinged and she could acutely feel the broken collar bone that couldn't quite support the weight of the arm. It was by no means a serious injury for a Kindred but it was painful indeed. In reply to the man's question of how he could help, she flipped her hair back which was covering that shoulder, and made quiet sound from the pain of shifting the weight there. The broken bone was clearly evident beneath her ashen pale skin. Before the man, she let the bone begin to heal, it shifting back into place. [-1 BP]

She winced at the process, the pain and unnatural feeling of things moving beneath her skin and at the loss of yet more vitae. She would soon be desperate, unable to control herself so she had to halt the healing here and suffer for now. "A gentleman.. when you are not too busy, hmm?" she asked though her voice was strained from the pain. "Tu veux m'aider? You would help me now, but unfortunately I do not think that you are the help that I require, mon chère." she added with a sad smile. "Your heart does not beat, does it? You do not require breath... No, not what I need then..."

She turned, looking at the dark figure that she was sure was Christine and gestured for her companion to join them. Before replying once more to the young man with the wolfen eyes. "Aid me to my friend coming to join us... S'il vous plait." she said. She was still curious at his reaction to perhaps finding that she was little different than himself.... perhaps....

Post Re: The Outcasts : Bad Blood
As soon as Jericho focused and realized how pale the women was it reminded him of his sire that saved him. How they look the same and the fangs she showed him are just like his.

After she asks him to take her to her friend he tells her "I'm no gentleman but ill know where I can get you some food just let me help you take some weight off your shoulder first." Jericho takes off his jacket and makes it into a sling. He walks up to her and says "this is going to help make it a little more comfortable." after he finishes talking he puts the sling on her and says "ill get you some food just wait here ill be back in a little."
Jericho was used to helping people when they came up to him with a problem. He learned a lot when he was in the military training especially when it came to first aid. He was always the one that went to help the people that got hurt during training. He never left anyone behind and leaving someone that's hurt wasn't who he is.

He knew the local gangs full of criminals around his neighborhood. He has been stalking one of them for a while waiting for the right time to strike. He thought to himself 'I guess today is not your lucky day.' as he ran straight to his target who was walking into an alley. He quickly grabbed him by the back of his head and smashed his face into the ground knocking him and some teeth out in the process. Jericho picks up the unconscious thug and throws him over his shoulder and walks back to the pale women.

Post Re: The Outcasts : Bad Blood
Christine watched her friend ask for aid from the man and surprisingly he seemed to agree. The lasombra watched him dash of in the alleyways, probably hunting for a thug or something. Well it was a fine source of food as any though she really did prefer more cleaner blood. Thugs simply weren’t as tasty as some of the pray you can get at a good establishments if you have the skills.

As he vanished from around some corners, the lasombra quickly started to get down from the roof. It really wasn’t that hard, especially in her case. After some descend using some ledges, she jumped down the rest of the way, allowing for her leg muscles to easily absorb the rest of the inertia.

“So, he’s a gangrel?” Christine asked her friend, giving her a questioning look.” He seemed rather… confused and lost about your reaction to him.” She stated, wondering with what he will return exactly. In difference from Corinne, Christine wasn’t in such a hunger for now at least. She was going to have to feed soon also, but not right away. Maybe tomorrow was going to be a better and more lucky day.

"You think he's abandoned?" The lasombra asked, wondering about it also." I've heard gangrel tend to leave their... childes alone for a while, letting them get a feel about what they are on their own."

Post Re: The Outcasts : Bad Blood
Corinne smiled just a little bit. Already she had some stranger offering to get her food. She most definitely still had the knack. Whatever this man meant by food though would be the determining factor in just what he was.... She was pretty sure already that he was Kindred but a bit of confirmation never hurt anyone. What did surprise her was this man seemed to not only know how to give medical attention but that he offered it to her, a total stranger and, for all he knew, a potential threat. She had to admit though, once made, the sling did help with the pain in her arm and shoulder somewhat. The ribs still cracked yet pained her but she'd be able to heal them soon enough.. hopefully. It helped not needing to breath. She tested the sling made of the man's jacket and finding it quite well done. "Merci..." she said to him sincerely and nodded when he told her to wait there.

Once he had left, she turned to Christine who came out of the shadows nearby after descending from the roof. She stared down the street in the direction the man had gone as the Lasombra asked her a question. "Je pense... I think so.." she answered. "Animal eyes.. Yeux des bêtes. He had animal eyes; something I have only seen among the Outlanders..."

She glanced to Christine with a thoughtful expression. She wasn't sure how long the Lasombra had been nearby, how long she had been watching but it seemed long enough to get the gist of the situation. "Bien sûr... Most indeed, he did seem to know little. I was... unsure if he even understood any of it. Aussi, I was unsure if even he was Kindred... I think.. he must be though.. with those eyes." she explained. She sighed. "Perhaps abandoned, orphaned.. yes. It is not uncommon sadly, more so among les Outlanders, bien sûr." she agreed. "When he returns, we shall attempt to discover more his origins." she added and then sighed, wincing at the pain of taking a breath to be able to speak.

The hunger was getting close to too much to bear. She began to move, heading slowly down the sidewalk in the direction that the man had gone. It was better moving than it was standing and waiting; it gave her something to focus on other than the ravenous hunger gnawing her insides. Fortunately, the ran into the confused young man as he was returning moments later. He must have known exactly where to go and he had an unconscious figure thrown over a shoulder. Corinne frowned slightly at that. She typically preyed upon her victims consciously, draining so little that they did not even realize it nor realize what she was. She could scarcely recall the last time she had been forced to feed like such. But.. needs took precedence. At least it seemed her guess about him being Kindred did seem to be confirmed though.

The young man was about to drop his burden in the street when Corinne shook a finger, glancing around. Most of the windows in the houses nearby were dark but it was still too much of a risk. "We must find.. what is the word... privacy from prying eyes." she said. "Here is too.. visible to any to see.. Were you not taught this?" she asked but then quickly shook her head. The Kine that the man had brought was bleeding a bit.. and the smell of it was tormenting her too much to think straight. "Somewhere out of sight..." she urged. The young man agreed and led them to the house where he'd come from and around to the backyard. It was better back here.. dark enough to not be completely noticeable and yet light enough to see still.

Corinne could not wait any longer, could no longer control herself. The second the Kine was placed on the ground, she was on him. Ah yes, this was more like it. She could feel the heat the Kine radiated, the life. She propped the unconscious body up enough that she could easily sink her fangs into the Kine's throat. And then the blood rushed over her tongue, into her mouth. The sweet, delicious blood that was unlike anything else in her experience.

And all too soon, there was no more she could take, no more blood could be drawn to her mouth. She wanted more though the need quickly began to dissipate. Non, she was sated although not completely.. enough though. She dropped the body she held in a death-grip, only now realizing that the life had left him. She had killed the man.

"Zut!" She opened her eyes again, looking at the others, her expression sad and guilty. "I did not mean to kill the man... I could not stop myself... I was too hungry."

Post Re: The Outcasts : Bad Blood
After walking with the unconscious body he thinks to himself 'man what a weird night this is. I really hope its not going to get any weirder. I kind of feel bad for this poor guy hes going to die once she's done with him if shes anything like me.' "I cant say he doesn't deserve it but I wouldn't want to go that way." says Jericho as he turns the corner with the body.

Once he sees the pale women he was about to drop the body on the floor when he saw her shake her finger no. Once she tells him in private he takes her and another stranger to his back yard where it was much more private. He places the body on the ground and just as he let go the pale women was on the thug feeding from him. Seeing her like that reminded him of when he lost control causing him to walk a little bit away uncomfortably.

After she is done feeding from the body he realized she didn't mean to kill him from hearing her words only made him even more confused. "What do you mean you didn't mean to kill him they always die when we do that right?" he says puzzled by her reaction. "That's what always happens when I do that why would yours be any different?" Jericho said trying not to stare at her.
