At the cue, Nora looked down at her own mostly bare chest, her focus going straight to the hole that sat in the middle of it. The skin all around it had little black flecks; gunpowder. The shot had been from really close range. She poked at the hole with her finger, feeling inside it and wincing at the pain it caused. It was an odd feeling though. She could feel broken bone of her sternum inside. It was still somewhat unnatural to her that her hand did not come away from such a wound covered in blood. She made an annoyed sound as she began to head to the next room where she'd left her shirt, the wound healing over until there was not a mark left. She grabbed her shirt, somewhat equally dismayed and amused by the fact that it was covered in blood. Chris must have hit one of the bangers' necks with her claws. There was blood on the floor, ceiling and walls. It looked like an amateur artist had flung red paint around, she fancied. She began to chuckle. "Well we have bangers here but there wasn't much in the way of mash it seems..." she muttered to herself. She brought her foot down heavily on one of the bodies, not doing as much to it as she would have liked but it was enough. "There! Mash!" she exclaimed.

She slipped her still-wet garment on over her head, slipping the pistol she still held into the waistline of her pants and followed Christine out of the room. There really was quite a stash out here, she realized. It dawned on her that there were no police sirens despite all the shooting that had gone on; she knew this wasn't the nicest of areas but at least back home, someone would have called the police. It seemed it wasn't so here.

Right at that moment, there was a tentative sound in the hallway leading to the front door. Nora saw a shape and recognized it as the girl. She caught Christine's arm, pointing to the door. "And here she is.." she told her friend. "It's all right!" she called out. "They've decided to depart!"

The girl came in slowly, looking around cautiously for any signs of the men. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the one body in the main room, torn up. She gasped. "How did you do that to him?!" she asked, partly in horror and partly happy to see him like that. "Where are the rest? Where's Snake?" she asked. Nora pointed into the room. The girl peeked in there, gasping again at the carnage. She looked back with wide eyes? "How..? No, actually, I don't want to know. They're gone. That's what matters." she said. She retreated back to the main room, looking around at all the goodies that had been left there now. She forced herself to look at the two other women but it was clear she was wondering about the money and drugs lying around. "So what now?" she asked.

Christine eyes followed as the girl went around the place to see for herself the end result of all that happened. The lasombra didn't really care much, but still...
"Now, you take what you want from that." The clawed woman replied with a shrug of her shoulders as she headed towards the exit and stopped before going through the door, turning back to the girl." You take what you want, and go too. You didn't see us, we didn't see you. That's how all this went, otherwise there shall be bad consequences for all involved." She said with a smile and turned towards outside again." You life depeneds on you alone now... I would prefer not to see you around again... oops.. we never met now didn't we?"
"Come on friend, let's go." She said to Nora with a smile, as she headed in the darkness of the alleys. It was time to hunt them some Sabbat pack.

As Nora and Christine left the building and the girl, Nora lowered her head while they walked. "She will meet a bad end." she said quietly. She didn't know why she said that but knew it was true. She followed the Lasombra, feeling very sombre. The whole event had drained her emotionally and now she just wanted to curl up in a corner somewhere but she couldn't, not yet. She didn't even bother to ask where they were going but merely followed her friend's lead.

It was only a matter of time before the two made it back to the alley where they had encountered that other Cainite before. Rather than going down the alley though and running into the odd creature that protected it, they headed to where they last saw the Cainite that had run from them. They came to a T-junction in the road where the Cainite had turned to the right. They had not pursued their quarry that other night so where he had gone from there was a mystery. Nora looked down the street for anything that could be a hideout, a haven for a pack but to her, it looked like every other street. Buildings, underground access, stores and whatnot. She really doubted he would have even run straight back to his haven if he was one of the Sabbat. They'd all been trained well, if chased, to lose their pursuers by changing directions often and never going straight back to their pack's home. "Unless he left a trail of breadcrumbs, I don't think we are going to get very far..." Nora said doubtfully. She wasn't very much of an outdoors kind of person but she could see nothing of a trail at all and it was a big city to cover. "Any ideas?" she asked.

"Probably." Christine said, but not really sure why she agreed with her friend on this one. It was getting kind of automatic. Nora often said things and they became truth. She looked at the sky, her hands were twitching for some reason, so she could feel the dried blood on the fur. What was it in this city? Why did it feel like her blood was boiling again as if she was alive? What was it that made her mind stir up with the prospect of existing again, instead of the cold acception that was during her time with the pack? Ever since they ran away it was like this...
"Hmm....?" Nora asked something and tore her from her thinking."Ideas?... Well..." She began and looked around with a smile." Ideas, I have a lot of those. Probably too many to be frank, but that's not important." She replied." We've been in this city for only a few days. There is still a lot more ground to cover before we could start talking about ideas. First we will get to know the place. We will go around for a while... Who knows what we will meet and what will happen?"

Nora frowned, pouting just a bit. She'd wanted to get this over and done with, find this Sabbat pack they'd been told to look for just so they could then go and get some stuff for the bunnies and return to their new apartment. She wanted to play with her pets but it seemed with a lack of a real trail to follow, they'd be out here for hours.. probably all night. Likely even for the next number of nights. Her gaze travelled down the long street ahead of them. Dull bass from music, without any sense of melody from deep within buildings lining the street could be heard out here. Nora knew from the last time they'd been out here that there was a strip club at the end of the street, an adult film store just behind them and a few other sleazy places scattered around. To the small merit of the area, there was also an internet cafe, a motel and a twenty-four hour convenience store back a little bit as well. "The ebony hand seeks to grip its prize... soon, very soon. It is poised, sword raised to make the streets run with blood..." she said suddenly. The confused look on her face didn't match the surety with which she spoke those words.

“Don’t worry Nora. We will head home early tonight.” Chris said with a smile to her friend.” I just want to get the know the area around our home for now. Tomorrow you can stay at home and play with the furballs, while I go to visit Isaac to ask about all information they have till this point. It will make it easier to us to locate them then. He should at least give us that much.” Christine said.
“Probably no point in asking what that met huh?” The lasombra said and raised her shoulders in a shrug.” Come on, let’s go home, but let’s take this path.” She said and pointed a slightly off course on, meaning they were going to have to walk a little longer, but she still thought she wanted to observe as much as possible of the area.

Nora merely stared back at Christine with a blank expression. She remembered what she said all right but had no clue either what it meant. She just shrugged too and followed her friend. She wasn't feeling very big on conversation right at that moment as they traversed that area of the city, having to dodge prostitutes and drunken bums on street corners. Nora grimaced and pressed herself back against one building while trying to evade a particularly persistent drunk. She was glad when Chris knocked the man away and they took off quickly before he regain his footing. A few blocks later, from around the next corner came the sounds of a street party; music and laughter when automatic fire cut through it. Nora froze at the sound. Moment later, screams and cries of pain could be heard.

Annoying things were prancing around the streets. Among the things Christine didn't like were drunks. How much they stirred the desire in her to slap them around good, was almost unusual. Well all people had their past experiences, so things like this weren't uncommon.
The moment the lasombra heard the shots, she quickly put her back to the wall and reached with her hand to make sure Nora was also in the same position. Afterwards Chris carefully looked behind the corner to see what the commotion was all about...

A car screamed around the corner, driving past them as a number of figures hung out, still shooting off guns, mostly up into the air at this point. As they went past where Christine and Nora were backed up against a building, Nora thought she saw a hint of fangs in the mouths of some of the yelling, frenzied occupants of the vehicle. No, definitely fangs she thought as she went over the image in her head again, her eidetic memory being a benefit for once. She had no doubt, they were Cainites of some sort. She flinched when a stray bullet hit the building a few feet above their heads, sending down a shower of brick dust. Thankfully the car sped off with the vampires having been no wiser to the presence of the two women. There were still sounds of screaming and crying from where the vehicle had come, around the corner.

"!!!" Christine quickly focused the carp plate as the vehicle sped past them, she was making sure to memorise the car plate's number... She quickly said it a few times to make sure to remember it and turned to Nora." Well I think this might be a lead... maybe. Let's go see why the chaos going on there." The lasomra said and turned to head towards the place where the most of the shooting has been.
All things considering these guys may have been part of the little pack they were hunting. There was that chance and it wasn't going to be a problem to check it out.
